Stephanie Batailler was born in the French Alps near Switizerland (ever heard of Yodeling?) and grew up in the South
of France. She graduated with honors with a master’s degree in History at the Sorbonne University in Paris, her work was mentioned
in the French newspaper, Le Monde diplomatique (click) then got a Certificate in Film Production at the New School University in New York and received
the New School Award for Excellence in Experimental film in 2003 with her student film Between 2 Worlds. The film aslo got a Nomination
for the Female Director Award at Global Fest in San Bernardino CA and
has toured in the US, Canada and Argentina.

After graduating, Stephanie created Licorne Films Production and worked as Writer/Director/Camera/Producer/Editor for different clients and projects. In the same time, she continued to produce her projects and made Trip to the Planetarium which combines HD Live action and 2D Animation (similar technique used in Who Framed Roger Rabbit but using HD format). The film received in 2009 the Silver Lei Award for Excellence in in Filmmaking, Honolulu International Film Festival and the 2008 Bronze Telly award for use of Animation. The film was selected in 2009 at the Delray Beach Film Festival, in 2008 at the Festival du Cinema de Paris and screened at the Cannes Film Festival at the Short Film Corner, at the Beijing Film Festival for Greening the Beige (Environmental Arts Festival), at the Chinh india Kids Film Festival in New Delhi and at the Radar Hamburg International Independent Film Festival in Germany.
